This policy explains what Fuel Snooper ("we") collects when you use Fuel Snooper, why, and who we share it with. We don't sell your personal information.
What we collect
- Search details: your delivery address and how many gallons you need, to find dealers who deliver to you.
- Contact details: your email, and your mobile number if you give it, for receipts, order updates and sign-in codes.
- Home details (if you save them): tank size, where the fill pipe is, and notes for the driver.
- Order and payment records: what you ordered, what was delivered and what was charged. Card and bank details go straight to Stripe (or PayPal); we only keep a label such as the last four digits.
- How you found us: the ad or link you came from (kept in your browser for up to 90 days) or your answer to "How did you hear about us?".
Who we share it with
- The dealer you order from: your name, address, phone, gallons and driver notes, so they can deliver. Dealers who receive your request see the address and gallons so they can price it.
- Service providers who run parts of Fuel Snooper for us: Stripe and PayPal (payments), Twilio (texts and phone calls), our email provider, our hosting and database provider, the U.S. Census Bureau geocoder (to place your address on the map), and Anthropic (AI that reads dealer insurance documents and helps with compliance checks; it doesn't receive customer payment details).
- When the law requires it, or to protect against fraud.
Dealers
For dealers who apply, we also keep business, insurance and meter-inspection documents, and, with the dealer's permission, recordings and notes of calls to their insurance agent to confirm coverage.
How long we keep it
Order and payment records are kept as long as tax and accounting rules require. You can ask us to delete your account; we'll delete what we're not required to keep.
Your choices
- Reply STOP to any text to stop texts.
- Ask us for a copy of your information, to correct it, or to delete your account.
Security
Sign-in uses one-time codes, data is encrypted in transit, and payment details never touch our servers.
